Christmas List

“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…” You guys, it’s my favorite time of the year! I thought I would make a light-hearted post and share with you all what’s on my Christmas list and why. Before anyone has anything nasty to say, though, I don’t at all expect to get anything on Christmas except the love of my friends and family. That is required. This is the list I sent to my mom and sisters when they asked me what I wanted this year. Honestly these are all things I will be buying for myself if I don’t get any of them for Christmas, just because they’re all things on my “To Buy” list anyway. Without further ado, this is my $50 or less wishlist.

InnoGear 200ml Aromatherapy EO Diffuser

I’ve actually done a bit of research on different Essential Oil diffusers, and this one seemed to be the best I could find for the money. Plus it came with a recommendation from a friend who is somewhat of an EO aficionado. I’ve been drawn to the simple, natural healing properties of EO’s for quite a few years now, but haven’t gotten a diffuser to feel the effects. I’m actually really excited about this one and a little bummed I asked for it for Christmas because it means I have to wait in case someone does decide to buy it for me.

Portable External Hard Drive

I write. A lot. And I have a LOT of pictures. I’m what one might call a virtual hoarder. Shane would argue that title applies in reality, but I usually ignore those comments. I digress. I have been needing an external hard drive since I had my last computer, because I really do have a lot of memory going to family photos and old blog posts and I’m afraid that something will happen to them. I could go old school and have them printed and put into photo albums. I might do that, actually. Good idea, me!

Sims 4

I have loved The Sims since I was 10. No joke, my sister and I would constantly be on the family computer (keep in mind this was 2000) playing with our families and trying to keep them alive. I’m not a console gamer, but my passion for The Sims would definitely earn the title of Gamer. I’m really excited to see the new features and goals on this new version, plus I’m a sucker for great animation.

Scotch Thermal Laminator

Who doesn’t love a good laminated sheet of paper? In all honesty, all the crafts and activities I do, a laminator would have more than paid for itself. I like the Scotch Thermal Laminators, because of their ease of use. We have one at work and we use it for projects all the time. You can use store brand thermal laminating sheets for it, and they’re pretty inexpensive as long as you’re not messing around with them too much.

Fitness Armband for Samsung GS7

Short of a fanny pack, I have no way to carry my phone while I’m working out and listening to music. It gets awkward and I would like to get credit for my walks when I have the Charity Miles app on. I don’t have a particular brand in mind, just something that is functional.

Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix & Half-Blood Prince DVD’s

I have all the Harry Potter books. I even have three copies of the first book and two copies of the second book. I have a book I’ve started annotating. I also have all the other Harry Potter DVD’s. So why do I have HP Sorcerer’s Stone through Goblet of Fire and Deathly Hallows Pts. 1 and 2, but NOT Order of the Phoenix of Half-Blood Prince? Well, that my friends, is because my dear husband decided that we didn’t need to buy the 2-pack DVD set from Walmart for $9.99. We had them recorded on the DVR. Mind you, we haven’t had digital cable or a DVR in almost two years and I still haven’t been able to find the 2-pack DVD set from Walmart for $9.99 since then. Thanks, Shane.

Immersion blender

There are many a recipe (culinary and not) that would be made easier with a good immersion blender. You can make lots of body care products and homemade versions of condiments and other items you’d regularly buy at the grocery store. This one is actually lower on my list, but it’s definitely something I’d like to have in my assortment of useful kitchen gadgets.

IKEA gift card

What I really want to buy with this gift card is a sewing desk and new crafting and office desks. Honestly, there are always things I want from IKEA, but I figured it would be easier to ask for a gift card than to ask for a desktop and legs.

Starbucks Red Ceramic Holiday Tumbler

How cute are the new holiday cups!? I always love Starbucks’ holiday line, and this year is no different. I’ve found myself using my ceramic tumblers and travel mugs more lately (since Shane bought me my new Keurig for my birthday), so the more I have, the better life is for everyone that doesn’t have to deal with me coffee-less.

OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection

Here’s a little fact about me, if you didn’t already know it: I LOVE Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It’s one of my all-time favorite movies (top 10, for sure) and my second favorite Audrey Hepburn movie (behind Funny Face). One of my wedding colors was Tiffany Blue! To say I’m excited about this collection would be an understatement.

That, my darlings, is my Christmas 2016 Wishlist. What are you wishing for this holiday season? What’s been on your list that you just haven’t bought for yourself yet? Like any of my ideas? I’d love to hear all about it!

GIVEAWAY! So I’ve decided to do another holiday giveaway! This year I want to give away a $20 giftcard to either IKEA, Starbucks, ULTA, Target, or Amazon. Your choice. All you have to do is comment on this post saying which card you want and why, and sharing my website on one or all of your social media accounts. The more places you share it, the higher your chances of winning! Make sure to use the hashtag #CRHolidayGiveaway on Instagram and Twitter. The giveaway closes at 12:00 AM CST on Thursday, December 15. I will be contacting the winner that day for their address and sending it out no later than Friday, December 16.

  1. Angel, I almost said Ikea, because it would give me a great excuse to go there, but I have to go with Amazon because it is impossible to have too many books, especially when you can get Kindle books! There are several writing books on my wish list, currently, and of course I love fiction, always! Love your blog! I saw your post on Facebook, and remembered that you had this blog, so I finally got to read it, and you sound just like the way you talk everyday, so now I won’the have to miss you as much! Btw, even if I don’t get the giftcard, we should go wander around Ikea together, sometime!

  2. Target- because I don’t have a Target in Roseburg and it would force me to go to Eugene and enjoy the city and stock up while at Target. πŸ’—πŸ’—
