About Me

I’m Angel Dillion. I’m an almost 30-year-old, plus size, married (for over 7 years), aunt, dog mom, feminist, Unitarian Universalist who loves to DIY and write. I have a coffee/caffeine addiction, a great sense of style, and a love for my hometown of Dallas.

I’m an INFJ, type 6, introverted Scorpio which basically means I worry all the time, feel things deeply, love fiercely, and need my alone time.

I started Cupcake Rising in January of 2013, after moving on from my old blog, Cupcakes 4 Fashion. The name, Cupcake Rising, was actually created by my mother. I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted to name my new blog, when she came up with the idea! I loved it, of course, and the rest is history. My dream is to have my own art studio, have several novels, novellas, and short stories published and enjoyed by readers far and wide, own all the dogs, and to bake as many delicious treats as I can. Oh, and have a killer wardrobe while I’m at it.

In 2013, I did an internship with Real Divas are Large as a content creator. From 2013-2015 I was in charge of social media marketing for Claudia’s Boutique, as well as having written three articles featured in Full Blossom Magazine (issues 10, 11, and 13). I’ve also been given the chance to write a press release for PLUS Model Magazine and Always for Me’s “Real Women/Real Model Campaign”, interviewing Jeanne Grasso, Director of Marketing for Always For Me, and Madeline Jones, Editor in Chief of PLUS Model Magazine.
