There are few things as comforting as your favorite food. Whether it’s something mom or grandma used to make (or dad/grandad) or it’s something you made once with your best friend at a sleepover, food has the distinct ability to make us recall even the deepest of buried memories and bring us closer together.

I absolutely love seeing the fall bucket list infographics that make their way around Instagram and Pinterest every year; they remind me of all my favorite things about the season and bring me a level of joy and excitement that no season (except Christmas) brings.
That being said, there are always a handful of things on those lists that I either can’t do because of where I live, or they’re things I do every year and don’t feel them necessary to add to such lists (I mean, I definitely don’t need to be reminded to decorate for fall/Halloween – have you met me?)
