Two of my absolute best friends in the entire world became moms for the first time ever this year. One had a boy and the other a girl. One had been trying for a long time and the other got pregnant pretty quickly after deciding with her husband that it’s what they both wanted. Both women are married and both pregnancies were planned. I say this, because we have officially reached the age where our friends are getting pregnant on purpose. We are officially getting old.
Hey, guess what? I love a good Starbucks latte. I also love me some rum and Coke. I love watching rom coms like You’ve Got Mail and silly movies like Mean Girls, but I also love a solid action movie, even if the storyline kind of sucks. I can change a tire if I need to, but I’d rather just call roadside assistance. And I have a burning passion for avocado and a budding love for sriracha.

I did a post last year on this, and I didn’t think I was going to do it again, but I feel like I should.
I hate watermelon. I hate the taste of it, I hate the smell of it, and I just generally try to avoid it at all cost during the summer. I’m especially sad when it’s the only thing to eat at summer picnics because it looks tasty and refreshing to me, but I know my tastebuds don’t agree.

I am a white, (mostly) straight, female Texan, and I wholeheartedly oppose the proposed Senate Bill 6 — the ‘Bathroom Bill’.
Getting to the gym can be hard, and not just because it requires extra effort after an already exhausting day. It’s so easy to feel lost and vulnerable at the gym, especially when everyone else looks like they know what they’re doing, or like they belong in a fitness magazine.
